When utilizing the iScribe speech-to-text functionality, iScribe utilizes paper icons on the schedule to display the status of a document once it has been accessed and saved within the mobile application.
The Green Icon represents that the note has been saved and pushed to the EMR
Green indicated that the note has been fully completed
The Yellow Icon represents the note has been saved and pushed to the EMR
Yellow indicates that the note may need further attention by the user
The red icon represents that the note failed upon saving, or that the user exited the screen without saving.
Accessing the encounter that has the red paper icon
If a user sees a red paper icon beside the patient on the schedule, it means the user has either not saved the encounter or, upon saving, the note failed to save in the EMR.
Unsaved Encounter
If a user has exited out of the speech-to-text screen before saving the encounter, iScribe will display the paper icon on the schedule
Swipe left on the patient
Select speech to text
Encounter will open with ALL the data that was previously available
Add any new details if needed, and hit save
The user will now have a yellow or green paper icon, indicating the note was successfully saved to the EMR
Data Pending Error
If a user hits save and notices a red paper icon on the schedule, the note has failed to save to the EMR
This is typically due to the EMR note being closed out
Log in to the EMR to double-check that the note has not been closed
Reopen the note if it has been closed
On the mobile device, swipe left on the patient
Select Speech to text
The user should reaccess the original note, with ALL details that have been added previously
Take the save action of choice
Note should be saved to the EMR, and the user should be displayed with the correct paper icon
If the note still is not saving, please utilize the in-app support option or by emailing [email protected] to reach our support team for resolution
