ALL - Granting Microphone Permissions on Device

Users will need to ensure microphone access is enabled on the mobile device for recording purposes.

  • Navigate to your phone’s Settings

  • Scroll down to the bottom

  • Tap on Apps

  • Find the iScribe app and tap it

  • Please make sure that Microphone permissions are enabled (toggled ON), as shown in the screenshot below.

If microphone access still isn’t working as expected, please follow the additional steps below:

  1. Check App-Specific Microphone Permissions

    1. Open the Settings app

    2. Tap Privacy & Security

    3. Select Microphone

    4. Review the list of apps that have requested access

    5. Ensure the toggle is ON for any app that should have microphone access

  2. Check System-Wide Microphone Restrictions (Screen Time) If Screen Time is enabled on the device:

    1. Open Settings

    2. Tap Screen Time

    3. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions

    4. If restrictions are enabled, tap Microphone

    5. Make sure the microphone access is set to Allow

  3. Restart Your iPhone

    1. If permissions still seem to be missing or not functioning as expected, we recommend restarting your device and rechecking the settings above.
