Word replacements are used to automatically correct common misspellings or transcription errors before your note is finalized and transferred into the EHR. Once set up, the system will apply these corrections automatically—no additional action is needed during dictation.
Primary examples for the need of utilizing word replacements, are for proper nouns that do not live in any sort of dictionary.

Click on the link above to access the EMC portal
Log in to the EMC portal by utilizing the same Username and Password Combination as you would for the iScribe mobile application
Click Admin from the top navigation bar
Select Word Replacements from the dropdown menu
You can use the dropdown menu to find and select your name
In the Word * field, enter the misspelled or commonly misheard word (e.g., “Dr. Belvwar”)
In the Word Replacement * field, enter the correct spelling (e.g., “Dr. Belvoir”).
Click Submit to apply the change
